Reset Week was the first week after Christmas break, allowing our students to return to school and renew their hearts and minds before jumping back into the busyness of school and extracurriculars. With its foundation in Romans 12:2, we set out to renew our minds and reset our focus on Jesus.
During Reset week, our students got to experience school in a totally new way. Each day, we started an all-school chapel filled with worship, skits, and God's Word focused on this year's theme, "Be the Light."
For Early Childhood and Lower School, time after chapel was filled with snacks, arts, STEAM, music, Bible study, and PE, all focused on “Be the Light.” Senior High mentors and our Administrative staff took care of these activities while EC and Lower School classroom teachers prepared for their afternoon activities.
Junior High students also engaged in arts, STEM, and English activities until lunch with their teachers and Senior High student mentors.
The Senior High mentors allowed students across campus to grow closer and allowed the younger students to see what they have to look forward to in the future.
Upper School students had dedicated time for Bible study and color team competitions in the gym in the afternoons.
Throughout the week, our entire school collected personal items, including toothpaste, socks, deodorant, and more, to create bags for Church Without Walls to deliver to people in our community experiencing homelessness. On Friday, our Sr. High students gathered the supplies and put the bags together.
This week was like no other. Students helped students. Staff helped staff. Our entire campus learned and was reminded of the meaning of being the light for Jesus to each other and to our community.
