Research + Produce + Present

Senior High completed an ongoing research project in history that culminated in a digital or physical exhibit. Students selected the topic and their method of delivery.

Research skills practiced included:

Evaluating website information accuracy
How to use an academic database
Identifying the difference between primary/secondary sources
Note taking
Attribution
Citation of text and photos
Synthesizing and summarizing information

Many students learned how to use new technology, like Adobe Spark, for the first time while also gaining a better understanding of visual design elements.

Some students chose to work with a partner which meant they had to research separately then come together to collaborate on the final product.

The projects were shared with classmates who had to write a response explaining what they had learned from their peers.
