Double the Athletic Honors from TAPPS

Female Athlete of the Year + Henderson Cup

On Friday, June 10, 2022, Sydney Rouillard along with her mom and Coach Sara Lindemann attended the TAPPS, Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools, Annual Convention in Waco, TX, where Rouillard received the Female Athlete of the Year award. It was an honor she will always remember because while she was there, Christ Academy was also awarded the TAPPS Henderson Cup, the most prestigious award for schools in the TAPPS system. This was not an award Sara Lindemann was expecting to receive.

The Henderson Cup is awarded based on points earned from sports, academics, and fine arts throughout the school year. The school with the most points at the end of the year is deemed the Henderson Cup winner. This award is given to one out of approximately 60 1A schools in Texas. This is Christ Academy's first year claiming the Henderson Cup, and after a banner year in athletics, the school is especially proud.

We’ve worked hard for this. It feels great to look back and see what we’ve accomplished to get where we are today. It was a true honor to receive this award today on behalf of the school and something we didn’t expect. I checked the points earlier in the spring, but I hadn’t looked back at them again to check our standings. We hope this helps people see we’re a real contender in the community regarding sports and academics, and while we didn’t seek points for fine arts with TAPPS this year, we have an excellent fine arts program.
