2022-2023 Staff Updates

I pray you’re having a good summer—full of fun, adventure, and REST.
As we begin to gear up for the 2022-2023 school year, I wanted to share some staff changes with you.

After the departure of Maggie Mae Ellison, Lindsay Gill will be reassuming the role of Director of Club Warrior. We are excited about the professionalism and excellence Mrs. Gill brings to this program.

Charity Ali, an experienced, certified teacher, will fill the position of Early Childhood Teacher vacated by Lindsay Gill. Mrs. Ali brings excitement, passion, and quality that will further enhance our Early Childhood program.

After the departure of Tiffany Oliver, Becca Reneau will be assuming the position of Director of Admissions. Mrs. Reneau’s knowledge of the full scope of CA’s programs and her engaging personality uniquely qualifies her for this position.

Megan Franks will be the Digital Learning Trainer and teaching Senior High World History. She will work with Emily Adams to train teachers on how to use digital resources effectively and appropriately. Mrs. Franks will also help develop a comprehensive training program to assist in onboarding new staff members.

Kristen Goodgion will teach Junior High Social Studies this year. Mrs. Goodgion has experience teaching Social Studies + History. Students will enjoy her hands-on approach to teaching. In addition, she will continue to oversee our Upper School Student Life.

Dana Clayton, an experienced, certified teacher, will fill the position of Kindergarten Teacher vacated by Becca Reneau. Mrs. Clayton has an obvious love for children and teaching. We are excited to see the contributions she will make to our school.

Lauren (nee: Berend) Deges will fill the Lower School Art Teacher position vacated by Mrs. Heptner. Mrs. Deges is an accomplished artist, instructor, and creative spirit. With pride, I tell you that Mrs. Deges is an alumna of Christ Academy. Welcome back, Mrs. Deges.

Libba Heptner will transition into the role of Director of Marketing full-time. We benefited greatly from her skill and expertise even though this position last year was only part-time. We anticipate even better things from her.

After the departure of Dale Miller and Patrick Mitchell from our athletic department this year, Justin Miller has been hired to coach both the men's and women's basketball teams. We are optimistic that his coaching skills, professional experience, and eagerness and excitement for the game and our program will only continue our growing legacy.

Dena Truette will be assuming the role of Technology Assistant. We are excited about the benefits she will add to our Technology Department.

Karin De Vleeschouwer will be directing the Discovery Lab and Stream Lab for Early Childhood and Lower School. We are excited about the expertise and experience she brings to these areas.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions.
I look forward to seeing all of you soon!
