Grade 8 Weather Presentations
a deep dive into weather forecasting
Eighth-grade students recently embarked on a captivating exploration of weather and climate this semester in their Science class with Mr. Wade, seamlessly blending education with our hands-on application. This unique research project allowed this class to delve into meteorology and present their findings in exciting new ways.
Beginning with intensive research into weather dynamics and global factors, our students selected specific U.S. locations to investigate. They meticulously crafted research papers, complete with citations, and developed weather maps and five-day forecasts tailored to their chosen cities.
Their got to use their creativity to script engaging weather forecasts for presentation to an eager audience. Through this project, students not only learned but also enjoyed witnessing firsthand how weather impacts some exciting locations, like Los Angeles, CA, Miami, FL, and Denver, CO.
Mr. Wade praised their enthusiasm, remarking, "These boys are fun to work with every day." This project not only deepened their understanding of weather but also fostered a sense of ownership and connection to the subject matter, laying the groundwork for future exploration.
