Easter week at CA
a snapshot of celebrations
What an incredible joy it is to celebrate Easter throughout our campus. From EC3 to Grade 12, every student heard the truth of this wonderful news in chapel, lessons, and activities. With so many meaningful and intentional activities, we wanted to share a snapshot of ways Easter was shared and celebrated this year!
Our all-school chapel was a remarkable time together, filled with worship, and our EC3 students presented the Easter story to the school using Resurrection Eggs, each tiny treasure a symbol of the profound journey from darkness to light. In junior high, Mrs. Gunter prepared a Passover meal for her Bible classes, transporting her students back in time, and inviting them to taste and touch the traditions of Passover. Reading from John 13, Mrs. Gunter immersed her classes in what it would have felt like to have been at the table with Jesus on the night he was betrayed.
Across the campus in Grade 2, Mrs. Duke baked resurrection rolls with her class. After wrapping pastry dough around a marshmallow and baking it, the marshmallow melts away, leaving the roll empty like the tomb of Jesus.
Early Childhood took their Easter party outside for an egg hunt and ice cream as a time of celebration and fellowship with families. It was a sweet time for parents to connect on campus. In Grade 4, their party activity was to create prayer pails intended to be filled with sticks. Each decorated stick contained names and topics to help remind them how to pray.
In every corner of our campus, Easter was not just observed; it was lived, breathed, and celebrated with enthusiasm. Happy Easter, Warriors! He is Risen!
