Mrs. Short read to the Early Childhood (EC) 4's class, Botanist Bert, a Quirkles® adventure where three friends discover a green ball is actually broccoli. The Quirkles® , a part of our EC curriculum, are 26 imaginary scientists that help children develop a love and appreciation of science and literacy.
The class planted broccoli seeds just like Buddy Beaver and Bennie Bear in the story.
Then the EC students went on to color and review what plants need to thrive- air, water, sunlight, and soil.
Later this week in science, the EC students will experiment on the plants to see what happens when they place one plant in the sunlight and one in the classroom's closet. Follow us on social media to see the update of the students' experiments.
