Meet Our New Music Teacher
We are so excited to announce that after a long season of searching, we have found a new Music Teacher for our program at Christ Academy! I’d like to introduce you to Lauren Miller. She has been working at CA for the past year as the head Jr. High volleyball coach and an assistant coach for Sr. High volleyball, basketball and track and will continue to do so when not in the classroom. Although Lauren has been an athletic coach for us, she has a long background in choirs, is skilled in both guitar and the flute and will be a natural fit to instruct the students of CA with her ability to sight read. She is also currently working to complete her degree in education from MSU.
In our eagerness to get Music back on campus, Music will be temporarily limited for the remainder of the year and will return to its full capacity in the 22-23 school year. This allows us to offer Music now without interrupting or rewriting our current schedule, which is so important for our students. So when will your student have music?
Early Childhood will have Music on Tuesdays and Thursdays. EC-4 will attend at 8:30 a.m., and EC-3 will attend at 9:05 a.m.
Lower school will have Music on Tuesdays and Thursdays during their scheduled Academy time, so if they are not enrolled in an Academy, they will participate in Music with Ms. Miller.
Upper school will have the option to enroll in Music on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 a.m. Please note that if not enough students enroll, we cannot offer this class.
Again, these times and offerings are limited to this semester and will not be restricted to this schedule next year.
We greatly appreciate your patience with us as we have been working to find the perfect candidate for this position, and we look forward to growing the Music program in the coming months and years! I hope you will give Ms. Miller a warm welcome to her new role in our CA family!
