RESEARCH + PRODUCE + PRESENT

christ-academy-wichita-falls-kindergarten-scavenger-hunt.jpg

Last week for the first time, kindergarten students participated in a write-the-room scavenger hunt. This activity allowed the students to work at their own pace and hone their independence. The exercise required and used many skills like self-checking, note taking, transferring, following multi-step directions, and much more.

My goal was to watch the independent learners in action.
— Mrs. Reneau, kindergarten teacher

The kindergarten students used their prior knowledge of colors taught in quarter one through God's Colorful World and reinforced with visual memory, fine motor skills of writing, and gross motor skills by walking around the classroom with a clipboard to complete the “color-writing” activity sheet.
