2021-2022 Enrollment and Financial Aid
Dear Christ Academy Family,
CA has to prepare early for the following school year. It is necessary to know who will be returning to CA in order to plan for staffing, curriculum and materials to ensure the highest quality education for our students. We are thankful that the vast majority of CA families choose to remain at CA.
In evaluating the continuous enrollment process, it became evident that we were not getting much-needed information from our families and creating hours of office work to manually enter critical billing information into FACTS, leaving much room for error. Beginning this year, we are streamlining the process for us and you, and calling it Registration. You are now able to notify CA of your intentions regarding the 2021-22 school year in one location.
Within Registration, we will be getting that updated information from you, including your tuition plan selection, automating the annual $50 registration fee and doing away with paper contracts. We hope this to be a more efficient system for families to quickly notify CA of their intentions for the following school year.
Continuing Enrollment
If you are planning on returning, your seat is guaranteed! We are asking you to complete our Registration packet at this time. Once logged in to your Family Portal, open the “Apply/Enroll” tab on the left and choose “Enrollment/Reenrollment”. FACTS does not allow us to alter the names of tabs or links within their system. Choose “Click here to open enrollment” then “Start Enrollment Packet” for each of your students. The Registration packet will be prepopulated with the information we currently have on file for your student; we have removed many unneeded questions to make your process much easier than it was in the past. All you will need to do is make any necessary updates. If you need to save and complete the registration packet at a later time, you may. Please note, the link in the Family Portal will read “Open (edit)” until the packet is completed and submitted. The automated Registration Fee of $50 per student will be charged upon submission. This charge/payment will be reflected as an “Online Enrollment Fee” in your family billing.
Unenrolling
If you intend to unenroll (Opt-out) your student for the next school year, you will select the “Will Not Enroll” option on the Enrollment Packet page in the Family Portal by February 28 in order to avoid any unnecessary fees. If no selection is made by February 28, your seat will continue to be held. Because CA opens enrollment to new families on March 1, if you select “Will Not Enroll” between March 1 and July 15, a $750 Cancellation Fee per student will be charged to your account. After July 15 you will be responsible for the cost of tuition for the Fall semester.
Financial Assistance
We understand that many families factor in the amount of financial assistance they need to make the best-informed decision. In order to streamline our processes and provide our existing families priority access to the funding available for the 2021-22 school year, we are opening applications for financial aid for current students now. Click here to be taken to the FAST financial aid application. We will expedite the processing of applications submitted to FAST by February 15 and respond expeditiously with offers of approved financial aid prior to the Unenroll (Opt-Out) deadline of February 28.
It is imperative that CA families requesting assistance submit their information as soon as possible. CA will be allocating the majority of the available funds for financial aid during this early round and cannot predict how much will remain after this round of offers.
